Dodging raindrops 💦

Wednesday, June 7, 2023  We’re dodging raindrops every day and the plants and pastures are loving it! I can’t remember a time in June when we haven’t yet turned on the irrigation system. Yes it will make shearing day a bit challenging but we have a rain plan for that day. Today I’ll clear out the first hay barn to be sure the girls can get shelter in there if it rains while the boys are getting haircuts in the big barn.

Featured alpaca today is Roman, a big gentle fleece machine. He grows an enormous soft fleece every year and I’m grateful for him. He’s not quite the stud muffin that his brother Ryder is, so all he’ll make is fleece, not babies, but we love him anyway! Happy Wednesday!

Photo of the day: Roman sporting the one eyed hairdo.

He even looks good from the back!
