Are you grieving?

Monday December 18, 2023  If the amount of grieving one must do is relative to the amount of love one felt, I now understand. I know, to some, they were just animals, but to me it was so much more. The time was right, and I had a fairy tale perfect ending to a 25 year run with some amazing animals. Perfect new owners, taking the whole herd plus guardians.  But my grief comes in waves, because I still miss them. For a few days I’m fine and then it hits me again.  If you are grieving a loss of someone or something dear to you this season, maybe these words can help you too. And that is why I share them.  These words hit me right in the heart. “Love came first.” Yes it did.

I’m really doing OK, but sometime you just need to sit with the feelings too.

I hope this helps someone besides me and as always thanks for checking in!

Thanks Jen. I know so many people are grieving harder losses than I have had so I hope these words will help.

Your loss is great. I cry when I can only imagine your sadness. These words explain it all, powerfully. They remind us that grief is the result of great love. I will remember the wisdom in the words. Thank you, Linda, for your wonderful ability to express yourself. Have a lovely winter in your piece of Heaven up there!

Thanks Brenda. Sometime I feel guilty in sharing my sadness because I really am so fortunate! And I know that. But I also know it’s good to be honest about what I’m feeling. Thanks for understanding.
