Early snow ❄️

Tuesday November 7, 2023  The ground is turning white and we’re hunkered down for the day. Last night we celebrated with a fun birthday dinner for my daughter and the 50th anniversary of me becoming a mother!  How can I possibly have a child that old? 😂  She and her hubby were in New Mexico for the week while we have been enjoying the company of the gentle boy here. He helped me with relocating the cat housing to a more accessible place to the winter and the cats seem to approve. He also got the rest of the firewood stacked with farmer Ed and we loved having him here. For my birthday today our plans have changed since I have become a total old lady and do not like driving in the dark and the snow. Ha, it’s called self preservation! I’ll be happy with a fire, a glass of wine and leftover birthday cake from last night.

I’m still skirting fleeces in the studio/garage. I did get some lovely roving back from our fiber mill, listed it in the online store and sold every single bit of it. Thank you! Now I’m going to need to keep some here for my own winter spinning. (I’ll still have some for sale, not to worry) Even though the alpacas have been relocated there is still plenty to do here. Hopefully I’ll get the rest of the fleeces skirted soon and have time to start on soap making and needle felting.

Stay warm and thanks for checking in.

Just getting started.

Thanks Gigi. The front view has always been a peaceful one. I still have a hard time looking out the back windows without my fuzzy friends out there. But I’m getting better.

Happy Birthday to you, dear Linda! I really like your idea of celebrating! I, too, have become that old lady your discribe…no night driving, no snow driving….and, for me, no freeway driving! So home by the fire sounds perfect! The view from your office is so tranquil and beautiful. I’m glad you don’t have to worry how deep the snow will get! Now you can sit in comfort and appreciate the beauty! I wish you many more birthdays and good times! Have a great evening, Birthday girl!

Well it’s nice to know I’m not the only one. I’ll still drive freeways, but Parley’s Canyon in the dark with snow is totally off my acceptable list for now! Thanks for the birthday wishes!

Happy Birthday! Too soon for snow, but we are supposed to get some Thursday. The Earth keeps spinning! As will you with all that nice roving.
