It’s going to be OK

Monday, September 25, 2023 I’m OK. The new owners sent me a video of the girls enjoying their new pasture and it was the first time I smiled since they left.  I’m not able to format it to share here, but I do have some photos for you.

Many people questioned if it would be possible to sell them all together – which was my request from the very beginning. Actually an alpaca broker told me it would be impossible, and that I’d have to split them up into groups of 6 or 7 to make it manageable.  Well, ha …not only did we sell them all together with their guardian dogs, we sold them to wonderful people! They didn’t hire a transporter, they drove here themselves (18 hours one way) and loaded them all into the trailer and then drove them all the way to Minnesota!  But wait, there’s more…. they even brought us a fresh baked apple crisp from the apples they grow on their farm! Do we know how to pick new owners or what?!?

The boys and dogs will leave on Oct 3 and I’m happy for all to be reunited in Minnesota.  If you’re on Facebook and want to follow the new farm for the herd, check out Rockie Top Acre Alpacas. Or just click here.

Lots of mental adjusting to do here but it will be OK.  Thanks for checking in.

Photos of the day:  Now they can see for miles!

I certainly enjoyed having alpaca visitation all of these years. Such beautiful animals. I always looked forward to my visits. It’s awesome that they could be sold as a group! Maybe in my travels I will be privileged to see them again. I am in Rock Springs and you were a nice little day trip away. Thanks for sharing your beauties with me!

I am sorry to see them go, and will miss them on our tandem rides. So glad you were able to keep them together; that will give you peace of mind!❤️

They (Rockie Top Acres owners) seem like beautiful souls. How lucky they are to now be guardians to some of the most loved alpacas on the planet! 🙂 I am so happy that you manifested this sale to work out so perfectly (I never doubted you!). And you, Farmer Ed and us (#BMRalpacacrush) still get to watch them with Blue and Juno. I am so excited to be an observer of your next adventure.

    Much Love to you.

Thanks Sunny. It has been a better ending than I could have imagined. I’m starting to see a glimmer of fun for the next chapter. #stopthetearsalready

I only visited your ranch years ago and I love it! Today I was wondering if I can go again with my family and found out you are retiring and all the animals are sold. Thanks for the wonderful ranch you’ve got for people and best wishes for you and the animals.
