Home is where the Hay is

Monday March 20, 2023   All alpacas seemed content to stay in their barns yesterday and that made it easier for us to relax after the escapades of the weekend. If you missed that post, you can read it here. If there was any hay or grass available anywhere other than the barn I think we might’ve had a harder time getting them back in. But they do like to have food available and there is absolutely zero food available on all that snow.

We are currently under a new winter storm watch with snow predicted all day today and tomorrow. Let’s hope for minimal accumulation. Everyone says spring is right around the corner. Keep telling me that!  lol  There is a rumor that today is the first day of spring and I’m not quite sure I believe it.  😉 Happy Monday!

Photo of the day:  Dear old Cecily enjoys her hay in the back of the barn. Sometimes boring is OK.

We have an 6 inch thick crust on top of the feet of snow in our yard. Thanks for letting me know that I should see if I can walk on it 🙂 It was fun.
But, it is very hard to break through to move any snow around.

Exactly! I think I’m done snow walking for this year, I don’t want to encourage any more alpaca shenanigans. 😁
