A Sunday Story

Sunday, February 19, 2023  Many years ago we had our alpacas on 5 acres in Herriman, near Salt Lake City. Too hot and dry for me, but our youngest son was in high school and we didn’t want to ask him to move for his last years of High school, so we made it work.  A neighbor down the road raised Jacob sheep and we became friends. One day she announced she was moving and I asked her if she was going to take her out house with her. (It had been used as a chicken coop after it’s original purpose was no longer needed)  I had been thinking how cute it would look at our place ever since I saw it. So we made a deal and I told Farmer Ed he needed to go get my new chicken coop/out house.  That was the hard part!  But luckily we had a pick up truck then and some how he loaded it and brought it home. Happy wife, happy life, you know. Of course we moved it again when we settled in Woodland 20 years ago and it’s a landmark here today. The cow skull was found on the property, so I added it along with the blue moon. So now you know.   Have a good Sunday!

I just love it! It’s a unique and wonderful treasure! I’m still trying to wrap my head around how deep it’s snow crown is!!
