Listen to the blackbirds 🎶

Saturday February 18, 2023  We had a wee bit of melting yesterday and unfortunately that makes the paths even harder to maneuver because of the layer of ice on top. Oh boy.  Slow and easy wins the race here.  I use 2 walking sticks but it’s like using ski poles so I just pretend I’m super yaya on skis! (except no skis) 😂  Just a normal day on our ski in ski out alpaca ranch!  lol   Happy Saturday!

Video of the day:  With red wing black birds serenading us all day long, we know spring can’t be too far away.  😊

I hear you about icy paths. I have spikes on my boots and I still totter around like an old lady (maybe I kinda am). The slow melt is good, but geesh, it gets slippery in the process. We haven’t seen red-winged blackbirds yet, but maybe they are heading this way!

I think tottering is better than falling on ice! (good word) I hope you hear the red-wings soon! It’s the best sound when you’re waiting for spring.
