Still buried in ice

Thursday, February 16, 2023  It’s a lovely -4° as I type and that explains why nothing is melting.  Ha.  Our son came to pick up his dog yesterday and was so helpful digging some fence panels out of deep snow and ice.  We need to create a catch pen inside the boy’s barn for a gelding appointment we’ve scheduled with our vet soon. All available panels were used on New Year’s day when we were trying to contain the dogs. And the ones we needed were quite buried in snow and ice.  So we decided to ask for help and he was more than happy to show us what a body in it’s 30’s can do!   The catch pen is set up and we’re down to only 2 dogs in the house.   32 days til Spring, this will al melt eventually. Happy Thursday!

Photo of the day:  Frozen steps for climbing out of the hay barn.  Thank you Farmer Ed for cutting the steps! (We use a sled to haul bales up the steps)
