Imbolc!

February 1, 2023  Today is Imbolc!  Imbolc is a Gaelic traditional festival observed from February 1 to sunset on February 2, and it marks the beginning of the end of winter or, more specifically, the midpoint between the winter solstice and the spring equinox. It’s also known as Saint Brigid’s Day.  The beginning of the end of winter has a nice ring to it, don’t you think? How to celebrate? Light candles, fires etc to celebrate the return to light, also plan some spring or summer activities.  Just make some noise and have a good time!  In case you need an excuse to do so! 🥳

We survived another below zero night but it looks like we’ll be on a warming trend from here, for at least a week. No new snow until next week.  Whooohooo! We might even be able to get some more gates open this week.  Happy Wednesday!

Photo of the day: I do believe the pups shared the top bunk last night!

Well you learn something every day! I never heard of that, but I am celebrating tonight! Candles, fire in the fireplace….and maybe I’ll turn every light on in the house! 😂 Cheers to Imbolc!
