How far can Natural weaning go?

Monday January 16, 2022   Our last batch of babies were born in 2021.  Benji, Raina and Ruthie were all born with in a week or 2 of each other. As always I let the moms wean the babies when they chose to.  Benji and Raina were the first to hear their moms say, “that’s enough” (by sitting down when they tried to nurse)  And then there’s Ruthie, and her mom Aspen. They eat together, sleep together and are just really good friends. It’s sweet. And yesterday I saw Ruthie nursing! She’ll be 2 this spring and is as big as her mom!  So why would I interfere?  Aspen is not underweight at all, she is not pregnant and it makes them both happy. If Aspen were pregnant, she would have stopped this motherly indulgence a while ago I’m sure. So as far as I’m concerned they can both enjoy their mother daughter relationship however they want for as long as they want. #naturalweaning

The snow we received yesterday was minimal and it looks like today will be a weak storm as well. The resorts are busy with all the MLK Day visitors and people starting to show up for Sundance, so we’ll stay out of Park City for a while.  Enjoy your day!

Photos of the day:   Caught in the act.  Ha!

“What?”  they asked.

“We’re not listening”
