The importance of happy hour

Friday, January 13, 2023  Wait a minute. Am I actually promoting the use of alcohol? No, no, no! In our house happy hour is not about what you drink, it’s about what you think. When our grandson is here he loves happy hour because he knows it’s when we sit down together and talk about what made us happy that day.  When all the grandkids were here they know the routine and they would ask each other, “what made you happy today?” It warmed my heart! I’ll tell you something else, the rougher your day was the more important happy hour is.  When it seems that things have been going wrong since the minute you got out of bed, what made you happy is the best question you can ask yourself.  We like to have happy hour here after our chores are done and before dinner but I guess you could have it anytime during the day. Try it. Ask your partner or ask your kid or ask yourself, “what made you happy today?” And of course have a happy Friday!

Photo of the day:  Banjo gets to listen to our happy hour talk every single day. He’s not as bored as he looks. lol
