❤️ my guardian dogs

Sunday, January 8, 2023   The guardian dogs have been clever in creating their own snow paths around the ranch. And so far, staying where they are supposed to be. Blue is still very respectful of the hot wire fencing and we’re talking about adding it to the back yard so he doesn’t get in with Banjo like he did a week ago. Or was it just the fireworks that made him crazy? We’re not taking any chances right now so Belle and Banjo have no access to the backyard, they are in the front yard only until we’re sure of how the boys will react towards each other. For now, we don’t even want them to see each other. If you missed the New Year’s Day dog fight story you can read about it here.  My hand is slowly healing, there’s no infection and for that I am very grateful, but it still hurts more than I thought it would after one week.  But back to the guardian dogs, they are a critically important part of the whole operation here and I love them both dearly. Once the snow recedes a bit and I have 2 hands to use, we can rethink the fencing. For now they are doing their job and we are grateful. Have a good Sunday.

Photos of the Day:  Waiting for me to come hang with them in our winter wonderland. ❤️

Using their paths to be ready to chase any intruders.

You made a nice path Blue!

So glad everyone is ok! That can be scary. And no infection! Woohoo. Stay well and let Farmer Ed handle the “2-handed” chores for now. Wish we lived closer to volunteer. Happy Sunday!

Thanks Kathie. Farmer Ed is definitely doing more than his share these days. I’m grateful that he’s my helper.
