How’s Benji?

Saturday, January 7, 2023 It’s been a while since I’ve done an update on our little Benji. He’s absolutely fine, no worries. I checked on him frequently once we took down the fencing and made him one of the official bachelors. I wanted to see if he might find a friend in one of the younger boys. I thought perhaps he’d choose his brother Remy, who is actually a little bit shorter than Benji although he’s three years old. But guess who Benji picked for his new BFF? His father! Our boy Stetson! Stetson has always been a bit of a loner himself and it’s a perfect pair. They eat together, they sleep near each other, and I think they’re both glad they have each other. Is that sweet or what? And more than 20 years I’ve never seen a father-son pair bond like this, but there’s a first time for everything. Carry on boys!  Happy Saturday.

Awwww! That is so sweet. You have had so much going on over the holidays! I hope your hand is healing quickly, so sweet of your daughters to prepare a week’s worth of meals for you and Farmer Ed. If I lived closer, I would come up and help ya, but alas, I live in the colorful desert now. BMR is magical no matter the season.

Thanks Sunny! Enjoy the desert! We still have 3 – 4 feet of snow here. The hand is slowly healing. 🙏

How wonderful that father and son bonded. I’ve noticed that grandmothers seem to know their grandchildren, but I don’t think I’ve seen father and son bond. So neat!

I’ve never seen it before either. They are the same color and do seem to like the same things so it makes sense they enjoy being together. Whatever the reason I’m glad that Benji has a buddy.

It’s hard to say, but they do have similar personalities and I’m just glad they found each other! My hand is slowly healing, thanks.
