Taking it easy

Tuesday, January 3, 2023 The house is quiet, the dogs are all where they are supposed to be and happy memories linger around every corner. Back to school today for all the grandkids so it’s just the two of us here again. And it’s still snowing! Luckily we got some pretty good paths cleared before everyone left so we should be able to get around. Unfortunately most of the chores will fall on Farmer Ed for the next few days while my hand heals. Doing chores in this much snow is always a bit of a challenge but with one hand it becomes nearly impossible. But I’m a pretty good supervisor. 😁 My daughter and daughter-in-law cooked enough meals for us to enjoy for the rest of the week before they left so I really think we’ll be OK. My stitches come out in 12 days and hopefully I’ll be back to normal by then if I take it easy now. I’ve had to close the online store temporarily because Yaya’s Yarn Barn is buried under so much snow and the animal feeding will take priority until I can use both hands.

Also, to be clear no dog intended to bite me. The fireworks made them crazy. My dogs would never ever hurt me and I’m sure of that. I reacted without thinking and put my hand in the middle of a dog fight which is never a wise thing to do. Pull from the tail but not around their head. Do what I say, not what I do!  Have a good Tuesday.

Rest is the best! We envy you your snow. We’ve been above normal in temps, so getting rain and ski resorts are gritting their teeth. Feel better soon.

Thanks Lana. I’m actually grateful for all this snow, this last storm should really help with our drought situation.
