Winter birds

Monday, December 4, 2022  We are so lucky to have so many feathered friends visit Blue Moon Ranch in the winter months. Of course I keep the feeders filled, but I think even more attractive is the running water in our creek and in the Provo River at the end of the road. We had to chuckle at the parade of wild turkeys that strutted past the house yesterday morning.  There must’ve been at least 30 of them.  The black birds are still here and love their time at the feeders. Juncos and chickadees seem to have a never ending appetite for the black oil sunflower seeds I put out and yesterday I saw a gorgeous bald eagle fly right over my head.  It’s a beautiful world if we take time to notice. Happy Sunday!
