What about Mojo?

Sunday, November 27, 2022   The family has all returned to their own homes and it’s just the two of us again.  It’s all good. I spent most of the day yesterday hanging out with the bachelor herd to be sure that Mojo was behaving himself around Benji and all seemed OK.  Because Mojo is intact (for my non-farmy friends that means he has not been neutered) he might think it’s a perfectly good idea to threaten the other boys.  Why is Mojo intact? Well I’ll tell you. For many years when I was more actively breeding alpacas I was searching for bloodlines from an outstanding male called “Show me the Money”. And one day I found a beautiful black female for sale who was bred to…… “Show me the money”! Of course we bought her. I was actually thrilled when she delivered a true black baby boy in 2014. And somehow, because we owned another black male, General Patton and then found our Romulus, Mojo never got to the front the the herdsire lineup. But I know that “Show me the money” is no longer alive, so I hate to order the snip snip for Mojo. I also love his fleece and use it every year, so although selling him might be an option, it’s not my first choice. But so far he’s been an agreeable bachelor here so we’ll take it one day at a time.  Enjoy your Sunday!

Strong, dominate, handsome boy! Linda, I think your reasoning makes perfect sense regarding his lineage!
