November!

Tuesday, November 1, 2022  And just like that it’s November. We’re looking around and trying to get anything moved that should not be covered by snow.  The one task we’re delaying is putting the tarps up to keep the boys barn more enclosed for winter.  We expect lots of people will be walking over there to see the boys on Nov 12, and we want it to be open, so we’ll have to do that after the event. And by we I mean Farmer Ed. lol  And then there’s Benji, whose pasture will be turned in to the walking paths for that afternoon, but he’ll be happy to see so many visitors.

One more pleasant weather day before the next storm comes in. Hoping for lots of leaves to blow off the trees before it snows again. Some of our Aspens seem to hang on the their leaves til late November. The Aspen in front of our house looks like it did in June. Silly tree needs a lesson in learning to let go!  Have a good Tuesday!

Photo of the day:  Some of the girls enjoying the prayer flags spreading good will over them yesterday. They do love that spot.

I’m putting up new low energy lights on the house this year and as I walked out to the street to check them out last night, the Aspen tree blocked my view! And wow those tiny lights are bright!

WOW! It looks beautiful! I (actually it is my neighbor’s right at the property line) have an oak that sometimes holds its leaves throughout winter, releasing a few at a time outside my garage then tracked into the house. If only this mighty oak was planted in a different location all those years ago!

Thanks Gigi. My big concern is that the branches break under heavy snow if they don’t let those leaves drop in fall. My big willow in the driveway took a beating from the last snow storm.

Your home is so beautiful! Love the lights. Bright is good as the days get shorter. 🙂
