A happy ending

Thursday, October 27, 2022   Yesterday I got to play alpaca matchmaker.  I got a message in the morning from a woman who had been gifted two 4H alpacas once the neighborhood kids were finished with their 4H project.  Sadly, one of them died and the one left behind was miserably lonely. I imagine she was hoping I’d take him, but introducing a new male to an established bachelor group of our size is not as easy as you might think.  But I did tell her I’d help her. I sent out a few emails texts and Facebook messages and did find a perfect new home for him. He’ll be picked up this weekend and all 3 of us (current owner, new owner and me) are very very happy!  This is one more reason why having just 2 alpacas is not the best idea. Eventually you will have only one and that is never good. I’m grateful that the current owner knew that and reached out for help.  A happy ending all around.

Photo of the Day: We got a few more inches of snow yesterday and the alpacas are still searching for grass even though their feeders are well stocked.

Tadaaaa!  Pulled from the garage yesterday!  This is why I grow my tomatoes on wheels.   😊

It really is Lana. The new home he’s going to is perfect for him and even better than I could do here.
