Monday, October 24, 2022 One of the hardest things for me to understand is how content the guardian dogs are outside in cold weather. It was 20° when we first looked this morning with snow everywhere. The alpacas were out wandering in the snow at dawn and the dogs went right along with them. They were made for this and it’s a life they love. We do feed them a bit more when it’s this cold and they both have beds and blankets in the barn but I rarely see them use them. Yesterday while it was snowing they were wrestling and playing like pups out in the middle of the pasture. Actually the house dogs, who have their own doggie door spend a lot of time outside in this kind of weather too. Stay warm and happy Monday!
