Monday, September 5, 2022 Happy Labor Day! We have our sweet family visiting again and we ready for another day of late summer heat. Between fans and the beach all alpacas are doing fine. And the humans are not too ambitious with any physical work in the afternoons.
Somehow both guardian dogs got through a gate yesterday and were on their way to a fun neighborhood walk about. But we noticed them pretty quickly and the entire family went into action. When the dogs saw all of us in the driveway they decided to come back and join the party. Whew. Checked and double checked all gates before dark and we have 2 guardians on the premise this morning. We’ve had too much experience with wandering white dogs and do not care to repeat any of it. I think it was just that someone didn’t close a gate tight enough and they slipped out for an adventure. Let’s hope for no repeats. Have a fun Monday!
