Friday, June 24, 2022 Our big boy Blue does NOT like thunder, and we don’t even want to think about fireworks. Well yesterday evening a little thunderstorm rolled in and I could see the concern in his face. So we all sat together in the hay barn and were as cheerful as could be. The gentle boy, who loves rain, was even out dancing it for a bit. And Blue really did well with our company so we turned it into another grooming session. Lots of long slow strokes seemed to comfort him and I got another big bag of white fur off to help our boy comfortable this summer. The company of good friends can usually make a bad situation better. Happy Friday!

I’m with Blue. I’ve been known to sit in the hallway with scared dogs on either side, with earbuds plugged in and soothing music playing. Brushing dogs also helps… both them and me.

It’s so hard when the dogs live outside. Wish I could put earbuds in for them!
