Blue’s agreement

Friday, June 17, 2022   Blue and I made an agreement. He will be still and let me groom him as long as I stop when he says “enough”. 5 – 10 minutes is about all he likes and I have to respect that and not chase after him. We have made great progress and I have hopes we’ll get to the bottom of this shaggy boy eventually.  He’s really been more cooperative than I ever expected once we made our agreement.  Because he plays in water and mud and brings cockle burs home on a regular basis, this is not an easy task.  lol   Some parts have to be cut out, like his chest which was a huge mass of cockle burs and the feathers on his hind legs, but we just keep at it one body part at a time. The goal is to keep him cool and healthy, not have him ready for a dog show.  It’s always good to spend quality time with a dog.  🐾  Happy Friday!

Haha. Our Bella is the same way. She stays still for a few minutes then gives me ‘the look’ to say Mom that’s enough and gets up and walks off. Lol

Yep. And if I went after him to get “just one more spot” he was even harder to get the next time. It works much better now that I listen when he tells me we’re done. Blue send high five to Bella.
