Resting day

Monday, June 13, 2022 Today is our official rest after shearing day. Because we went to the Scottish Festival yesterday and had a great time!  Bagpipes and drums stir something deep inside me – I am Clan Grant and my bones know it.  It also felt like the first time in 3 years that we’ve been out! All in all a very fun day and our grandson was happy that the “the grands” as he calls us were able to come along. If we were expecting alpaca babies this year there is no way I would have ever been away for a whole day so it was extra sweet.  Resting today, back to alpaca farm blog tomorrow. Happy Monday!

Photo of the Day: Farmer Ed wears a kilt. He also threw axes and drank beers!

We heard some great music too!  This is a wee sample of the Wicked Tinkers.

Thanks Sunny. Me too! It was hot but the wind made it OK. Felt like forever since we have been in Salt Lake City.

Nothing like a fun rest day. Love bagpipes! Being from a musical family I wanted to try to play one. I thought my lungs were going to explode! Kudos to those that can play! Glad all the Alpacas are enjoying a rest day too.

Thanks Kathie, There were definitely some talented pipers at the festival. Some of the competitions were amazing.
