Monday, May 2, 2022 You probably already know that I think my guardian dogs are amazing. But they do have one strange habit that I find amusing. They collect logs! Blue had quite a nice collection before Juno ever arrived. Chief and Charlotte never had an interest in logs so this was Blue’s own idea. He finds logs that we have cut up for firewood and drags them to the main pasture to add to his collection. And he taught Juno to do the same. They don’t just go for sticks, they like the biggest logs they can move. Long sticks are good too. Their favorites are huge logs with a little branch left on for a handle. To see them dragging these logs is so funny! Sometimes it takes them days to get them through the fence, but they don’t give up until the logs are where they want them. I do love these crazy pups. Since it actually is our firewood, we do occasionally take them back. They probably wish we’d leave them all. 😄 But they know who feeds them so they let us do whatever we want. smart pups.
