Wednesday, March 2, 2022 When a livestock guardian dog is bonded to their herd it’s an amazing thing. It’s like something in their ancestral DNA comes to life and they know who they were born to protect. Not all dogs of these breeds are perfect for the job but I must say we have been very very lucky in most of the ones we have employed here. Juno is one of the best ever – right up there with our legendary Chief. And this week I’ve noticed her becoming closer with the herd. For the rest of her life she will do whatever it takes to keep them safe. So grateful that we found her – or did she find us? Happy Wednesday!
