Happy Valentine’s Day?

Monday, February 14, 2022  It’s Valentine’s Day! Sometimes I think Valentine’s Day is hard for a lot of people if they’re not in a good loving relationship at the time. When you think about it, Valentine’s day is mostly a day that is promoted by businesses who want you to spend money on something for your loved one. And that’s fine – as a business owner I do understand that. But the emotional implications of this particular holiday cause many people grief and sadness and that is unnecessary. Are you feeling lonely today?  Here’s my advice:  #1 Love yourself.  #2 Do something kind for someone else. #3 Remember it’s just a day promoted by businesses.  And if you are lucky enough to be with the one you love, give them an extra big hug. 🙂

I absolutely agree with you. My honey and I do not celebrate Valentine’s Day. I have always said if you need Valentine’s Day to show me you love me then we have a serious problem LOL

We do give each other cards and we are getting sushi for take out tonight, but that’s mostly because I don’t like to cook and love to find excuses for take out.. lol
      Happy day to you! ❤️

That is such a true sentiment. When I was single and working, seeing the flowers come in for my co-workers made me feel left out. But I tried to be happy for them. Luckily now I have a honey-bunny who gives me my favorite nutty chocolates every year! (So much for the diet…) Have a happy sushi date.

The pressure is there for singles, isn’t it? Even some newer couples feel they have to get it right! In our early days we used to dine out on Valentine’s Day but the menus seemed so contrived and overpriced. I think we were both relived when we decided cards only was a good way to go. Although nutty chocolates sound pretty good! lol
