Time for a snow dance?

Saturday, February 12, 2022  When your grandson asks if he can spend the weekend at the ranch there is only one answer, Yes of course!  So I picked him up after school yesterday and now I have a pretty good helper here for the weekend. 😁 We might try to get halters on the babies today – and we might also have to keep all training inside the barn unless we have a little more melting of those icy paths.  Some babies just won’t move at all when they are first haltered, but some act like bucking broncos. And I don’t think that would be fun for anybody on ice.  Considering that we haven’t had any decent snow since December it is still very white and wintry here.  We’re hoping for more snow next week. We thought we were on our way to ending the drought but a dry January dashed our hopes.  A healthy snowpack in our mountains is so critical for our water year. Maybe we’ll have to start doing the snow dance again. ❄️   Have a beautiful weekend!

Our pathways look the same, but it is more due to temps going from single digits up to forties and then back down. Everything melts and then freezes into ice. We also get rain, which I hate in the winter since it wrecks the snow. Hoping you get some more snow!! Too funny about the crias. They do have varied reactions to being taught to lead.
