Winter lights

Friday, February 4, 2022  We have a lovely pine tree in the front yard that I put white lights on for the holidays. But I also leave them on for the month of February.  Why?  Because it still quite dark in the evenings and I like to think of it as a way to brighten the landscape for my neighbors or anyone who drives past the ranch. I walked outside last night and saw the “Cheshire Cat Moon” next to my winter tree and had to take a picture.  We know how to brighten up a cold February night here!

The dogs were all quiet last night and a good nights sleep was appreciated by all. I saw no new foot prints in the new snow so perhaps whatever it was has moved along.  Happy Friday!

Beautiful picture, as always. I love that you keep the lights on in that tree through February. I have always loved how Park City leaves all of the colorful lights on in the trees through the end of the ski season so magical.

I agree Sunny! Our little road is in total darkness except for my tree and I hope someone besides me appreciates it.

Great idea! It looks so pretty with the moon above. I’m sure anyone passing by appreciates it.
