Winter lovin’ gang

Tuesday, January 11, 2022  There’s a rumor going around that says if you love winter, you don’t have livestock to care for.  Uhhh no. Snow sliding off the roof, ice covered paths, frozen fingers and yet I still prefer winter over summer.  Because there are no flies, the animals are all happy in the cold and the beauty is everywhere with icicles and sparkling pastures. Added bonus – Mother Nature tells me when it’s time to quit for the day by making it dark at a reasonable hour.

If you choose not to find joy in the snow you will have less joy in your life but the same amount of snow. ~unknown       Happy Tuesday!

Photo of the day:  She might have been born in Arizona, but this pup loves winter as much as I do!

Snow slide off the barn roof!
Look at that sparkle. ✨

I agree! Summers are too buggy and too humid around here. But our temps are a bit colder today than I like. (20s are better than negative numbers.) And our snow was ruined by freezing rain the other day. Drat. But still, the snow shines with the layer of ice on top and glistens in the weak sunshine. Lucky you to have that nice snow for Juno to play in!

We don’t have the humidity but Hot is HOT! Unless you are sitting poolside which is not what we do. lol Winter isn’t always perfect but I’ll take it over summer heat any day. Nice to know you agree, Lana.
