Where’s the white?

Tuesday, December 7, 2021  Our forecasted snow storm poofed into one or two flakes and  then disappeared. ugh  Fingers crossed for better luck with Thursdays storm. I will never forget when I first moved to Utah and it was snowing like crazy while I was getting a haircut and everyone in the salon was so excited!  Made no sense to me – in Chicago snow just messes up traffic and makes everyone grumble as they shovel the sidewalks.  Then someone in the salon said “Those are dollars falling from the sky!”  Oh OK, then I got it – the local economy depends on snow to thrive in winter. And the snow pack feeds the reservoirs as it melts in the summer.  I think we’ll be doing the snow dance here before Thursday. Please join in if you’re inclined.  ❄️🙏❄️

Photo of the Day:  Just a photo I snapped from the barn cam this morning – what I find interesting is that Blue is not facing the pasture as he usually does, rather he’s looking adoringly at the alpacas. Perhaps being the only dog for just a bit is helping him bond even more with the alpacas.

We feel the same way about the white stuff. We are also in a vacation spot where skiiers come to play. We’re supposed to have snow tomorrow, but only a little. It’s going south. Like Massachusetts needs it… Love how Blue curls up in the hay feeders!

Those hay feeders make great dog beds! All our pyrs used them.
Are they making snow in your area? They’ve opened a few of the resorts here but on mostly man made snow.
