But wait – there’s more!

Tuesday, July 28, 2021 We were outside checking on baby boy and I said to my grandson, “Get ready for round 2, Aspen is in labor.” Of course now he’s experienced so knows what to expect. 😉  But #1, this is Aspen’s first baby and #2 the first thing we both notice was how much bigger this baby’s nose was once it appeared. “What if the baby is too big to come out?” he asked and I didn’t know what to say but I’ll tell you – a sense of dread did appear in my head for a moment!  But Aspen pushed like a pro for what seemed like forever and delivered her first baby flawlessly. And we have a 20 pound girl!  Dad is Romulus and his daughter has those tiny curls to prove it. The babies met each other last night and after lots of sniffing, everyone settled down for the night. I was so very tired I felt like I could sleep for days, but when I heard the rain at 10 pm, I had to run outside to check on those babies and get them in the barn. All ended well but I was outside several times during the night and did not get the sleep I needed. I hope Ciara gives me a few days off before her delivery. Everyone looks great this morning!  (I look a bit weary, lol)

Our grandson achieved his goal of witnessing a birth, so he’s back home in Salt Lake City but can’t wait to come back.  Happy Tuesday!

“But wait, there’s more…”!! You crack me up sista. What a blessing! Do the mommas typically begin giving birth within days of each other? She is a beauty and I have always been obsessed with their eyelashes LOL

Haha, nice to know I cracked somebody up! If they were bred at the same time they often deliver at the same time. 😉 Once we had 3 born on the same day. All within 10 minutes. Yikes.

I have been out of town without internet service and I missed your daily updates, Linda! Love the babies!
