Wednesday, July 7, 2021 Blue is one of the sweetest dogs you’ll ever meet, unless you are a 4 legged critter trying to get on the property. But he does have his quirks. He collects firewood. Seriously. Last fall I moved enough wood to build a nice fire back to the wood stack in our north pasture. But this spring and summer he’s started his collection again. Last year he also added bits of hoses he had chewed but this year we replaced the hoses with metal ones so he’s collecting only firewood. He also dug a nice hole which he shares with the other 2 guardian dogs on hot days. See the really big log? It has a small branch nub attached to it which he used as his handle as he dragged across the pastures. He doesn’t chew them, he just collects them. That’s our boy. And we love him. Happy Wednesday!

Omg, this made me laugh and brought back some great memories. We had an Akbash Dog lgd who used to bring stuff home from all over the place, just like Blue! He even brought home our neighbor’s bathing suit and a fully decorated pumpkin. (She lives 1/2 mile away. He loved her). Thanks for the memories and tell Blue he doesn’t need firewood this time of year. lol

Well we did put the pumpkin on our step for a few days before she came to fetch it back. hee, hee It was good that she loved the dog!!
