Saturday, June 26, 2021 It’s a bit of an unnerving sight to look out and see a group of alpacas flat out and not moving. Not an ear twitch – just stillness. Scary – until I notice they are all facing their bellies to the sun – whew, that means they are just soaking up sun in the most efficient way they can – by exposing their underside! Aren’t they clever? Give me a fright clever, but nonetheless, they know how to get their vitamin D. Carry on ladies.

They don’t often do it in a group like that, but I always check the facing the sun idea before getting too upset when any one lies still for too long. 😁
