Playing with photos

Friday, March 12, 2021 I love editing my photos in Photoshop. It’s kind of like therapy for me and I find it strangely relaxing. I think the best photos should do three things:  #1 Be interesting to look at, #2 have a subject without distractions and #3 hopefully tell a story. I often hit 2 out of 3 and sometimes I get all 3. But that is what I’m going for when I do my edits. In the photo below I thought Roxy looked cute but I didn’t care for anything in the background. I took the shot because she was looking at me and there was not enough time to move Cecily’s big white butt out of the background. lol So I changed the background to something that matched the color scheme of Roxy’s hair. The original background is still there I just blurred it with an overlay.

More snow for us and super cold temps again. So much for that little taste of spring. It’s all good. I watched Blue use his nose as a snowplow yesterday just for fun and I know how much he (and many more of our furry friends) will miss our Woodland winters.    Happy Friday! stay well~

Photo of the Day: How could i resist this face?

Or do you prefer this one?

You definitely hit all 3 with this image! I have thought about getting photoshop instead of relying on some of the free editing tools. What version do you have?

Thanks, Gigi. I use Photoshop CC, it’s a monthly subscription. It can be overwhelming to learn all the features but there are many tutorials and I’ve taken lots of classes too. I’m definitely a Photoshop addict. lol

Yes, I agree with Gigi – all 3! Roxy is the perfect name for her and I love her face AND her hair! So stylish

Thanks Sunny. 😁 Roxy Rose is quite a character, I almost sold her once and I’m so glad that didn’t happen!
