March Mudness

posted in: Uncategorized | 2

Saturday, March 6, 2021 The temp never dipped below freezing last night and today we’re expecting a high in the 50s. This means the beginning of our mud season is here.  Boot sucking mud is not called that for no reason and it’s a daily challenge to keep those dang boots on my feet!  But if there’s mud that means we have moisture and in a drought, we try not to complain about moisture. Yes we are still in a drought even with the recent snows. As I look at the 10 day forecast, I see no chance of precipitation, so this could be our shortest mud season ever.

Enjoy your weekend!   stay well~

Alpacas need protection from predators here. They are prey animals and not used as guard animals. That is why we have the dogs.
