Wednesday, February 24, 2021 I always check the animals just before it’s too dark to see and I saw the sweetest thing last night. Blue had positioned himself right next to a few alpacas just outside the barn. He was lying there looking like a dog who knows his job, paws crossed, head alert, ready for the night. He still worries us with his morning walkabouts, but he does know his job and hopefully we’ll get the hot wire fencing done to remind him that we do have boundaries. I know he is only trying to check the outlying areas but come on dude, if you found a cougar do you really think you could handle that alone? That’s why we have three of you here.
Actually yesterday was a good day and he didn’t leave at all. But I did! I made a refreshing trip to the big city and visited Costco and my favorite grocery store. We decided years ago the way to save money at Costco is to have Ed go with a list. But once in a while I actually like to get out too. It was great and now I’m ready to hunker down here for another few months.
