Tuesday, January 19, 2021 Well I DO remember how to make soap! I had just enough ingredients for one batch (more supplies have been ordered) so I decided to make our most popular scent – Oatmeal Milk and Honey. It smells wonderful and it’s my personal favorite. I’ll take it out of the molds this morning, slice the bars and let them cure for about a week. Then you’ll see soap in the store. That will give me a bit of time to look into better shipping methods. But the bottom line is soap is heavy and costs more to ship. Of course we’ll offer curbside pick up for our local friends.
My amaryllis has bloomed again! Double blooms and even more buds between the 2 flowers. What a thoughtful gift, thank you Erin.

I love your soap too! I have a suggestion. You could have pre-orders for soap and then you’ll know how much and what kinds to make. I’d totally pre-order/pay before hand to get the quantities that I want. Just an idea. 🙂

I thought of pre-orders for the soap too, but the shipping is the challenge. usps is pricey! Each batch makes 24 bars of soap so I should have enough to fill all orders with every batch for now. I used to put half in the store for visitors, but since we’re not doing that for now, all will be available for on line purchases. What other scents do you like?

My favorites are Lemon Sugar and Coconut. But I enjoy any of them that make me feel like I’m on vacation somewhere tropical. 🙂
On a side note, don’t feel bad about the shipping prices. Your high quality soap is worth the extra expense.
