Enough is enough

Thursday, January 7, 2021  I know you don’t land here for a commentary on the political scene of the day but what happened in our country yesterday is too huge for me to ignore. He has gone too far. He encouraged and ignited the flame under these rioters to storm the capitol under the asinine pretense that he won the election. Seriously?  Can anyone still believe that??? He either lost or had dismissed 62 out of 63 lawsuits because they could produce no evidence. The election was not even close!!  Biden won the popular vote by more than 7 million votes and the Electoral College by 306 to 232. But facts have had little to do with his claims since he’s been in the White House. I truly wish they would use the 25th amendment to remove him quickly before he does more damage.

Whew, sorry but I had to get that off my chest. I really needed to get away from the computer yesterday afternoon and hang with the animals. They soothed my anxious soul.  Well, except when Blue found a new escape route and was down exploring by the Provo River when I found him. Maybe he thought a nice brisk walk would be good for me. Maybe it was. I’m praying for peace and sanity to be restored in DC today and in the weeks to come.  Stay well~

We are kindred souls my beautiful friend. And aren’t you grateful that you can always end your posts with some humor from the animals? I sure am.

Totally agree with both you and Sunny! Meanwhile back at my house, I’ve been knitting on both a new lair of socks and a worsted weight poncho (Geodess) because I like being warm and toasty! And a trip to the feed store for alfalfa pellets for all the deer who stop by nightly for sliced sweet potatoes and bird seed! Who knew that deer have giraffe like tongues that are perfect for lapping up bird seed from the bird feeder?😂

Socks are finished (not washed and dried yet but they are off the needles and on my feet. Grin. Don’t see how to post a photo to this section but I have posted a couple of photos to my Ravelry account. Visit my project page under writecath to see them. 😊
