Look for Brightness

Wednesday, December 23, 2020  The darkest days need brightness wherever you can find it. Take a drive and look for Christmas lights?  Add more candles to dark corners of your space? Take a walk in the sunshine when it appears? Build a fire if you are set up to do that. Some evenings if it doesn’t seem too cold, Ed will say, “do you want a fire?” My response is – “Yes! because we need the light!”  I know we’ve passed the solstice, but darkness will prevail for a while yet. Seasonal affective disorder (SAD) is a real thing and many people are affected by lack of sunlight in the winter months. If you feel seriously depressed or ill, do see a doctor, but if you just need more light I hope you will find it around you.  Happy Wednesday – stay well~

Photo of the Day: A lovely Christmas gift from my daughter bloomed yesterday.  I’ve only seen solid red or solid white amaryllis so this was a fun surprise. Definitely a bright spot in my kitchen today.

I’ve never seen one with those colors either. Beautiful! Just wanted to wish you and Ed a Merry Christmas. I also really enjoy your daily posts. And watching those cute pups grow up.
