Thursday December 10, 2020 Dining out? The alpacas – yes, the humans, not yet. We’ve decided to play it safe and stay away from restaurants until the virus is more under control. We support our favorite restaurants by ordering take out and it’s been working well for us.
The alpacas would always prefer outdoor dining if they had a choice i think. A prey animal is happiest when they can see what predator might be approaching. But I hate to see the hay get wet or covered in snow so most feeders are on wheels and will be moved under shelter soon. And ya know what? They follow wherever the hay goes. The leftover hay bits that fall on the floor of the barn make a cushy place to rest out of the weather as needed. Enjoy your food no matter where you eat. 😋 stay well~
