Trailing of the sheep in Woodland

posted in: Uncategorized | 8

Saturday December 5, 2020 I knew something was happening when all 6 dogs started barking at once. A quick trip to the window and I saw hundreds and hundreds of sheep walking down Lower River Road. This always gets Chief excited since he grew up with sheep in the mountains near here. We saw big white dogs scattered in with the sheep as well as horses and herding dogs. It seemed to go on forever and I’m glad I hadn’t opened the gate to the new property since they were right up against the fence and our guardian dogs were going crazy enough with the space between them.

What were the alpacas doing during this commotion?  Staying close to their barn watching with equal amounts of fear and amazement.  Happy Saturday – stay well~

Wow, that’s a lot of sheep. Funny how one dog gets all excited and the other one is totally cool with it 🙂

I’ve seen this near Jackson WY and Steamboat CO. It is truly magnificent! Thank you for the pictures. I wonder whose sheep those are? We sometimes see the sheep camp wagons as we are driving between Midway and Kamas. We are so lucky to live where we live! I wouldn’t trade city life for this for anything!
