Looking forward

Monday September 28, 2020 Covid cases are spiking in Utah, some people are still refusing to wear masks and it’s easy to see why I’m happy to stay right here in my own world. Clean fresh air, surrounded by beautiful animals and plenty to do to keep me more than busy. But we all need something to look forward to, don’t you think?  What are you planning once Covid 19 is under control?  I’d love to fly to Boston! We’ve tried it twice and a hurricane stopped us once and Covid19 stopped us this fall.  But we’ll get there eventually and I’m planning what we’ll do when we’re there. It’s good for your mental health to look forward to fun things and I think I’ll ponder a few more things I can add to my list today. If you care to share what you’re looking forward to, you are welcome to do that in the comments below.  Stay well~

Photo of the day: Harry Potter, Rowdy and Jett all wish you a happy Monday. Such a handsome trio and best buds.

I love Boston! Off the beaten track is the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum near Fenway Park. It is not so much what is in it – and it has many wonderful pieces housed in a great site – but what is NOT there is most intriguing to me. In the early hours of March 18, 1990, two men dressed as policemen entered and in the next 81 minutes stole 13 pieces including works by Vermeer, Rembrandt, Degas, and more . The theft is still unsolved with a $10 million reward offered. Isabella Stewart Gardner’s wishes were that she wanted the design and arrangement of the museum to remain the same after her death. As a result, you see the empty frames of stolen paintings. The museum staff has a notebook with all the details and there are no leads in the case!

Whatever your plans are, eat some good food and see some great historical sites.

I’m looking forward in 2021 or ’22 for a stay on Maui. Our family had a first class trip planned for this past March but, alas, Covid19 arrived a few days before our departure. We’ve all been semi home-bound ever since. So, this is what we all are looking forward to – in a “new-normal” world, of course. Best to everyone today!
