Dry season

posted in: Uncategorized | 4

Sunday August 16, 2020  We haven’t seen a drop of rain in months here and we’re very lucky to have our creek still flowing. The springs and streams on the new property are all flowing nicely too. What a wonderful place this is to call home. Many friends have water sources that have all dried up by this time of year. Growing up in the Midwest, I never understood how critical water can be in the West. Fire danger is extremely high now as well. No rain in the forecast for the next 10 days at least, but as long at the creek flows we can irrigate and save most of our hay for winter feeding. Hay stacks also make fun places for kids to play and animals to climb!

Photo of the day: Well it’s not the Pyrenees Mountains, but it works for climbing lessons. This is “baby” Blue. And look who he found at the top. Buddy Odin.

What a joy it is to peak in on your beautiful ranch life every morning. I have coveted your life since you had the ranch in Herriman 😂💜

Linda, you make me jealous to live in the valley, but what you do is a labor of love for all of your family and animals and for that we all appreciate and love reading your blogs and seeing the pics you post. And kinda’ live life through you. (: I pray this pandemic passes soon so we can all get back to life. I was recently laid off for 4 months because of it, and so !close to retirement!!
One thing…I REALLY want one of the hats with the brim like you wear and I don’t see them in your store website. How do I get one?
    Take care and ‘stay well’!
