Gathering can be peaceful

Sunday May 31, 2020  Salt Lake City under curfew because of violent protests? I never thought I’d see that. My kids are home and fine and I’m forever grateful we live with wide open spaces and not in the city.  The resurgence of racism in America is as ugly as ever and we DO need to speak out against it, but not by setting cars on fire. 😩 One of my favorite quotes by Maya Angelou seems appropriate for today:  “Hate, it has caused a lot of problems in the world, but has not solved one yet” If you see or hear the tiniest amount of racial injustice, you need to speak out. But speak out with love not hate.  And stay well~

Love the quote. It’s so sad to see people use violence as a way to try and accomplish their goals. Love always wins over hate.

We have violence here in Indianapolis too. Your words along with those of Maya Angelou are especially poignant. Thank you, Linda, and stay safe.
