Beautiful green grass

Wednesday May 27, 2020 Once upon a time we lived in Herriman in the far West end of Salt Lake County, and I tried so hard to grow grass for the alpacas. But our land was rocky and dry and we had only culinary water to use. So it was an uphill battle. And the alpacas lived on dirt, and we fed them hay and it was OK, but I dreamed of finding a place with grass for them one day. I knew this was the place the moment I saw it. There was no barn, no house, but there was grass!  And water! So here we are almost 17 years later and I still appreciate the grass every day. Yesterday I opened up the barn yarn and the stream pasture and in some areas the grass was so tall I was concerned they might not eat it, but they’re chomping it down pretty well. #gratefulforgrass   stay well~

Photo of the day: The grass in the barnyard is so tall it tickles Miranda’s belly! But she ate it. 🙂

It is a heavenly place. I can see why you were drawn to it, Linda!
