Doll making with alpaca fibers

Tuesday May 19, 2020   My “fiber studio” is a area in the garage where I store years of accumulated bits of every fibery thing I’ve done over the years. So when my daughter suggested we take a course of needle felting spirit dolls, I was all in. What a great way to use all the millions if bits and pieces of fibers I have!  The class is fascinating, we’re connecting with our ancestors, dealing with fears and hopes and creating these dolls to be what they want to be. They each have a bundle of items inside them; carefully chosen herbs, crystals, one of mine has a shark’s tooth. If this whole idea doesn’t resonate with you, that’s fine, it’s not for everyone. I just wanted to share what I’m up to lately. Will they be for sale? I’m not sure. They are very personal to me and I’ll need to think about that. And as always – stay well~

Photo of the day: A work in progress. She is a listening doll and hears what you need to tell her.

Love this idea! If you decide to sell I would definitely be interested in buying a couple. Thank you Linda!
