Growing fleeces

Monday April 27, 2020  The alpacas are ignoring the pandemic and are busy growing fleeces.  Which is very good. I’m still trying to get a shearing date from our shearer and it’s been frustrating not to know when that will happen. I confirmed with them in January as requested to get on the schedule. Oh well I guess it’s because were not in a densely populated area and we need to take what’s left in the schedule.  If I were about 40 years younger I’d learn to do it myself. ha. Eventually the fleeces will be off and then we’ll be turning them all into yarn and roving and felt!  I’m sure hoping the Yarn Barn will be able to reopen so we can sell our fibery treasures. Fingers crossed and stay well~
