Thursday January 9, 2020 Oh my, our beloved guardians dogs were hard at work these past few nights keeping us all safe. Poor dears have been sleeping a lot in the daytime to catch up. However, I think we finally convinced Belle that she does not need to help them with barking from our bedroom! We heard a pack of coyotes howling a few days ago and they sounded quite close so that could be the reason for the night time barking. As I’ve said many times before I’d rather hear my dogs barking at night than my alpacas screaming. Perhaps an alpaca farm in a more urban setting could get by without guardian dogs, but in wild Woodland, we’re sure glad they’re here.
