Saturday December 28, 2019 Most of the family is now off on a cross country ski adventure and at the moment the house is quiet. Snowing lightly and about 10 degrees… another cup of coffee by fireplace sounds just fine to me, I’ll leave the adventuring to the younger ones. ha
The alpaca girls do appreciate the heated barn floor on mornings like this. They’ll probably wander out later when the sun is brighter, but they have plenty of food and water inside the barn so that’s where they’ll stay for now. The alpacas boys have several inches of straw bedding and their barn faces south so theirs is always warmer.
Even the house dogs enjoy being outside on these frigid mornings, so I know Chief and Charlotte are just fine. Happy Saturday!
