Friday December 13, 2019 We had our plumber come out to fix the barn floor heat yesterday. It hasn’t been working right this winter. No, it is not necessary to heat a barn floor, but #1, the floor in our barn is concrete and it holds on to the cold, #2 we have some geriatric animals who need a little extra help in the cold months and #3 it’s just the way I do it. I know the dogs and cats appreciate it as well. Right now the floor is covered with a several inch layer of leftover hay and some alpaca beans underneath it and I know my old girls can sleep comfortably in there. Our night time temps have been relatively mild so far this year but I can see a few below zero nights coming next week, so I’m glad we got that done. Happy Friday!
